Xintekvideo SDI-900 Series Color Corrector With SDI Video Interface

Xintekvideo's Color Corrector / Video Processor is an all digital video processor that directly interfaces to the serial digital video and provides the means to truly optimize picture quality and compression efficiency. It can also be used as a full-featured color corrector to match video to any display characteristics. The Model SDI-900* comes in four versions: Model SDI-900, Color Corrector without noise reduction; Model SDI-900A, Color Corrector with noise reduction; Model SDI-900M, Color Corrector with noise reduction and 7 or more writable non-volatile memory pre-sets; Model SDI-900C which is the same as the SDI-900 but with the HF Boost control replaced by a Chroma Gain control.

The Model SDI-900* provides a wide-range control of amplitude and pedestal for each primary color, permitting full color balance of highlights as well as low lights. The Model SDI-900A and the Model SDI-900M also feature Xintekvideo's VIP (Video Improvement Processor) technology. This proprietary system utilizes recursive filtering with motion compensation to provide over 9dBs of random noise reduction in both luminance and color difference signals. Independent noise reduction of Y and Color Difference Signals permits system optimization for different types of random noise, e.g. "snow", color streaks, beats and other random interference. The amount of noise reduction may be manually set, or, in the auto mode, the system analyzes the input video and will automatically adjust processing for optimum noise reduction. The Model SDI-900M also has non-volatile, user re-writable memory, for seven video correction pre-sets of all front panel functions.

Other controls provided by the Model SDI-900* include hight frequency boost, 0 to 6dBs (except for the SDI-900C where the HF boost is replaced by a Chroma Gain control), gamma correction (with gamma curves from 0.3 to 1.5), and luminance set-up (Brightness Control).

The Model SDI-900* will not affect other imbedded signals in the SDI video stream as it automatically goes into process bypass during non video time.
