Use this in-line XLR barrel switch to add on/off function to a dynamic microphone that has no switch. Many handheld dynamic microphones , by default, do not have a switch to turn it on or off when in actual use. It is ideal for karaoke, public speaking, and other events during which a single microphone is shared. The wiring shorts pin 2 to pin 3, silencing the mic without subjecting it to interference. So, when you're ready to drop the mic, you won't scare the soundman!
