Phantom Power Supplies

Phantom Power supplies are a DC voltage unit that sends power through a microphone cable to power a microphone or associated device. It's standard feature in most audio equipment. It is used most commonly used with condenser microphones, but is sometimes used to power DI boxes and effects pedals, too. Phantom power supplies are usually 48 volts (sometimes less; you'll see it as low as 12v), and sent to a microphone through the cable from your mixer or preamplifier.
