Multi-purpose Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD) for receiving and decoding MPEG-2 and H.264 transport streams to uncompressed broadcast video. H-HD-IRD systems can decode programs delivered over IP Networks, DVB-ASI feeds, or DVB-S frequencies. Video output is available as HD-SDI, HDMI, YPbPr (Component), and baseband CVBS (Composite) video. The system will automatically scale program video to the desired output resolution. Control is based on an integrated web server accessible through a second network interface that is independent of the IP input system. Network control is available through any standard web browser, and with properly configured routers can be available over the public internet. The web interface displays all detected programs, and allows the administrator to select the program to decode from a PID table. The IP system can receive a program via UDP or RTP MPEG-TS and retransmit the stream to up to 9 different uncast addresses. Multicast subnets can also be used with the appropriate switch hardware. DVB-ASI input with loop out is provided for decoding broadcast contribution feeds to SDI video. Multi-program ASI feeds up to 80 Mbps can be used. All programs will be displayed in the web management window for easy program selection. Thor H-HD-IRD is an ideal platform for anyone needing to convert encoded programs back to broadcast quality uncompressed digital video.
