The Optix 3XSOC-MPO-OM1-M-250-6 3X MPO field installable splice-on connector with patent-pending design offers up to three opportunities to be spliced to avoid costly scrapped connectors on "failed splice" connections. The "One&Done" problem associated with current MPO connectors is solved with these connectors.
The 3X MPO splice-on connector easily splices on any brand fusion splicer and only requires a fiber cable holder for splicing, a much simpler design which eliminates a need for expensive connector holders that are not universal to fusion splicers. Made only with Corning cable, our connector provides up to three opportunities to splice fiber ends correctly, thus saving money on "failed splice" connections.
Still another advantage is that an increased boot length provides excellent strain relief and offers better protection at the fragile splice point. The 30mm splice sleeve is steel-plated on both sides to avoid crushing and stressing the end fibers typically caused by shrinkage upon heating ribbon cable. Designed to be spliced with 250um ribbon, rollable ribbon, or loose tube cable, this connector simplifies the termination of a multi-fiber connection, allowing for a reliable termination in field applications.
