The Sennheiser SI1015-4000 Single is a complete IR (ifrared) assisted listening system designed to cover areas of up to 4000 square feet. The SI 1015 wideband modulator offers single-channel, two-channel and stereo operation in 2.3 / 2.8 MHz. The modulator features two balanced XLR-3 audio inputs, level controls, and IR monitoring diodes. The SZI 1015 and SZI 1029 emitters connect easily via the two BNC outputs or barrier strip.
Sennheiser infrared systems are ideal for wireless, interference-free secure assistive listening and interpretation for theaters, houses of worship, courtrooms, conferences and much more! With their unique amplitude and frequency modulation process, Sennheiser infrared systems offer high-quality, dependable audio with single, dual, stereo and multiple channel operation. Sennheiser IR systems can be modeled in EASE design software.

About IR Assisted Listening Systems!
The main components of any IR Assisted Listening System are the Modulator, Emitter and Receiver!
Modulator: (Converts Audio Frequency to a Radio Frequency)
This part of the system is comprised of a rack-mounted device that will receive audio signals from the Public Address or sound system. Audio signals are superimposed onto a carrier frequency and travel by coaxial cable to the Emitter.
Emitter: ( Converts Radio Frequency to Infrared Light )
This device and its wall or ceiling mounting hardware are placed in the room where assistive listening is needed. The signal from the Modulator is converted to invisible light by the emitter's LEDs. This transmits the program to the Receiver.
Receiver: (Converts Infrared Light to an Audio Frequency)
The receiver section is comprised of a stethophone (headset worn under the chin), a rechargeable battery and the battery charger. Here the light from the emitters is converted back to sound for the listener.
