Canare Star-Quad Cable Black & Gold XLR Mic Cable 50 Foot - Black

Manufacturer: Sescom

Item #: SC50XXJ/B   •   MFG #: SC50XXJ/B

World's Finest Canare Star-Quad Black & Gold XLR Male to Female Microphone Cables. Cables are built by Sescom with Canare's premier L-4E6S Star-Quad Microphone cable and the highest quality connectors from Neutrik, Connectronics & Switchcraft.

Professional Mic/Audio Cables are designed to use with microphones but are also excellent for line-level signals (i.e. mixer to power amps). Special 4 conductor configuration plus high shield density reduce hum and noise to less than 10% of conventional 2-conductor mic cables. Special construction also reduces handling noise while maintaining excellent flexibility. High density braided shield blocks electrostatic noise to eliminate annoying hum, buzz and radio interference. 4-conductor design cancels electro-magnetically induced noise from SCR dimmers and fluorescent lights. The premier Star Quad cable for all handheld microphone applications. Flexible, satin smooth to the touch and extra strong, this standard diameter, 21 AWG cable fits perfectly in all XLR-type audio connectors. Forty separate strands in each conductor eliminate breakage due to flexing. Available in 10 beautiful matte finish color jackets.

Excellent frequency response is preserved due to low capacitance provided by dielectric qualities of Polyethylene insulation. Handling noise is prevented by use of cotton filter material. Super flexibility results from using large numbers of thin wire strands, plus PVC jacket that remains pliant at extremely low temperatures (brittle point is -56°F); no wall between cold shipping and installation. Comments about TECNEC Premium XLR Microphone Cables Featuring Canare Star Quad Cable and Neutrik Black and Gold XLR Connectors:

I typically build my own XLR cables but when I'm short on time I turn to TecNec to build them for me. The solder job is usually good although they don't use any heat shrink on the bare ground lead or on where the cable sheath ends near the connector. This would make the cable more durable and less prone to failures. I also prefer that the ground be the shortest end when soldered into the connector since it is the beefiest of the wire and helps prevent wire seperation. However, the cable sheath was cut back to the perfect length so that the cable handcuff grasps securely onto the sheath to prevent breakage from cable tugs and yanks. The Canare starquad cable is the best you can get to avoid interference from RF and other trouble you usually encounter with longer runs.
