The Blackmagic Design URSA Cine Immersive 100G features revolutionary sensors designed for incredible quality images at 8Kx8K per eye and 100G Ethernet for SMPTE-2110-22 live video output! Using the same revolutionary RGBW sensor design as URSA Cine, the dual sensor layout features larger photo-sites, delivering an astounding 16 stops of dynamic range. The unique RGBW architecture provides equal amounts of red, green and blue pixels for incredible color super sampling. This means it is optimized to deliver incredibly rich colors and provide the ultimate in image quality and flexibility, even at the high frame rates live immersive video requires.
The Blackmagic Design URSA Cine camera platform is the basis of multiple models with different features for the high end cinema industry. All models are built with a robust magnesium alloy chassis and lightweight carbon fiber polycarbonate composite skin to help filmmakers move quickly on set. Customers also get 12G-SDI out, 10G Ethernet, USB-C, XLR audio, and more. The fold out monitor has a large 5" HDR touchscreen on one side and an external color status LCD on the other. The right side of the camera features a dedicated assist station with a second 5" HDR touchscreen that allows crew to work around the camera without needing external monitors.
The Blackmagic Design URSA Live Encoder (sold separately) enables the Blackmagic Design URSA Cine Immersive 100G to be used for live immersive production. It encodes live video into ProRes for output as SMPTE-2110 IP video via the high-speed 100G Ethernet port, creating an entirely new live immersive viewing experience. Plus, the camera data rate is under 50 Gb/s, so customers can combine two cameras into a single 100G Ethernet connection.
URSA Cine Immersive has been used on a number of high-profile immersive productions, including MotoGP: Tour De Force, Debut at the BBC Proms, a documentary featuring Real Madrid, and NASA's Artemis II launch!
Please Note: 100G 2110 systems, such as Blackmagic Design's 100G products, use QSFP28 optical fiber Ethernet cables to carry 8+ channels of Ultra HD video over single-mode fiber. These systems feature redundant 100G Ethernet for SMPTE-2022-7 compliance, providing ultra-high speed connectivity.
