The PAG 9938 Paglight Softstart Halogen Lamp Holder is designed for use with Li-Ion batteries and is a plug-in halogen lamp holder for the 12V Standard Paglight. When a tungsten halogen camera light is turned on from cold, the high current pulse that occurs may trigger the over-current protection of the Li-Ion battery. The Softstart Halogen Lamp Holder is designed as a solution to this problem. It contains a surge limiting device which starts the camera light at below current peak. The Softstart lamp holder utilises cost effective long-life halogen bi-pin lamps, available worldwide in 20W, 35W, and 50W nominal ratings. This lamp holder is not required when using the regulated light socket on a Sony digital camera.
