The Sescom SES-MKP-43 is a compact, passive inline audio level controller that solves a common problem: instrument signal levels that are too hot for a given input or simply need adjustments on the fly without touching an instrument mixer or preamp. It's ideal for direct-box setups, fixed installations, broadcast environments, and live stage rigs where quick, hands-on level control matters.
Applications:
• Controlling "Hot" Pickups: Guitar pickups, such as active or high-output humbuckers, can easily clip the inputs of older tube amplifiers or sensitive audio interfaces, so an inline controller rolls back the level to keep the signal clean.
• Quick Access to Muting/Fading: Provides a desktop or belt-pack volume knob for acoustic musicians or keyboardists who do not have a master volume control within reach while performing.
•Managing Mismatched Audio Gear: The inline control lets you adjust the level when running an instrument through effects pedals that lack their own master volume controls.
Sescom Tech Note: Intended for use with instrument-level signals. Not compatible with phantom power.
