It is the new version of carbon fiber rods with a more smooth surface. It fits 15mm rod clamps but its surface is not shiny anymore. SmallRig has redesigned it based on professional users feedback. The carbon fiber rods are much lighter than stainless steel rods, but carbon fiber rods are incredibly rigid and durable.
