The Zacuto Z-VCT-RT Rotator is an L shaped camera bracket used to shoot vertical (9:16) video. The Rotator is compatible with Zacuto's industry standard VCT Pro baseplate. With the flip of the lever, slide your camera out, rotate, and slide back into the baseplate.
The Rotator is adjustable in both width and height to accommodate all cameras. It is also designed to work with accessories such as a camera cage, matte box, EVF, and follow focus. The EVF position is independent of the camera, allowing the user to simply pivot the EVF for horizontal or vertical shooting without disrupting the ergonomics. It has a built-in cold shoe and NATO rail attachment for microphones, handles, and other accessories. This really makes shooting 9x16 or 16x9 a breeze. It only takes seconds to flip and you are ready to go!
Assemble your camera onto the Rotator with standard 1/4 20 and/or 3/6 16 screws. Then attach your accessories, such as an EVF, follow focus, light, and microphone. Consider your shot and choose horizontal or vertical framing. Choose your shooting style: shoulder, slider, tripod, etc. Get your footage, then if necessary, rotate your camera in seconds, and get the footage in the other framing.
Note: You must use the Rotator with VCT Pro Baseplate or VCT Dock.
