808RC4 New Three Way Head
To complete the revision on our 3 way-head range, we are proud to introduce the 808RC4. The most important feature of the 808RC4 is the "Double Axis Spring System", another innovative solution within the Manfrotto product family. Manfrotto continues to affirm its market leadership by providing professionals with the latest technologies and revolutionary products.
Double Axis Spring System
The 808RC4 features the new Double Axis Spring system, which consists of a built-in 3.30 lb spring for both the front tilt and side tilt movements. This innovative solution, borrowed from the video industry, helps to move the camera smoothly while framing the picture, as it helps to balance some of the camera weight. In addition, it absorbs the shock to bodies and lenses when reaching the end stop of the head movement. If you are using an extremely lightweight camera system, you can simply turn off one or both springs by the two separate control knobs.
Design
In photography, image is everything and we kept this in mind with the 808RC4. We modernized the overall shape and rounded many of the hard edges to produce a fresh and elegant product. The new handles are designed to fit comfortably in your hand, even taking into consideration the size of your fingers. We are also using a new coating on our quick-release lever that is more durable and scratch resistant.
Quick Release Camera Plate
With the introduction of this head, we will stop manufacturing the 3047 and 329RC4 models. This is why this head has been equipped with a 3271 type of plate because our goal is to unify all our heads to use only two types of camera plate, the one used on this head and the 3157N system.
