The Ansmann Energy 8 Plus charger, monitored by a microcontroller, can be charged for 1-6 Micro AAA / Mignon AA, 1-4 Baby C / Mono D, 1-2 9V block NiCd / NiMH batteries.
Maintain and Refresh Batteries
After inserting the batteries, the charger starts an automatic diagnosis and a quick capacity test for about ten seconds. Depending on the state of the battery, the device selects a gentle precharge and / or refresh program or initiates the actual charging process. The refresh mode makes batteries damaged by storage or memory effect efficient again and extends their service life considerably. A battery can thus be gently "revived".
Automatic Shutdown
The latest microprocessor-controlled charging technology with multiple overcharge protection guarantees optimally charged batteries and a gentle charging process.
Fast Charge
The Energy 8 plus automatically determines the optimal charging current for the inserted batteries and charges them with up to 1000mA in the fast charging process.
Individual Monitoring
The batteries can be inserted mixed. There is no need to consider size or capacity. Each cell is individually monitored during the charging process and individually charged to its maximum capacity.
Trickle Charge
As soon as a battery is fully charged, the charging process is automatically terminated and switched to impulse maintenance charging (buffer charging with current pulses). This function guarantees optimal performance and counteracts the self-discharge of the battery. The battery can remain in the device until it is used. A clear LED display shows the current program mode separately for each charging slot. If a non-rechargeable battery is accidentally inserted or a battery is defective, this is indicated by a red flashing LED.
