The ESE ES-808/60 is an 8 Port Power Injector with a 60 Watt Power Supply. This 8 port Power Injector is for Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices. The unit accept an Ethernet data signal and passes through the identical signal along with 48 VDC "injected" into the RJ-45 Ethernet connector using the Spare Pair. These units inject power passively. Applied voltage is available all the time, there is no auto negotiation with the attached client device. These devices have no switching function - there is no configuration needed, and VLANs and other management features of any switch will be handled transparently thru the injector. The ES-808 may be bolted to a surface or placed conveniently anywhere. The unit consists of the Power Injector and an external Power Supply (90-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz) and is capable of powering eight/twelve PoE devices up to 328 feet from the Injector.
