How It Works
The GF-EXT-DP4-HBT3 system consists of a sender-receiver pair, interconnected by a single CAT6a cable. The transmitter accepts a native DisplayPort 1.4 video signal and passes it (uncompressed) along with audio, EDID, and RS-232 control data to the receiver up to 328 feet (100 m) away. By leveraging HDBaseT 3.0 technology, the entire signal chain is preserved across this distance, eliminating the need for signal boosters or additional cabling.

During installation, setup is streamlined through simple DIP switch configuration for EDID management and HDCP, ensuring source devices identify the display's capabilities correctly and locking in handshake compatibility. Bi-directional Power-over-Cable further reduces clutter by enabling powered operation from either end, and RS-232 control lines allow remote device or matrix command pass-through, perfect for centralized AV control environments.
