    RD-8C - Overview

The Ashly RD-8C is an eight channel programmable remote fader controller for Ashly networkable products that have a remote Data connection. Products include the ne24.24M, ne8800/4800/4400 processors, Pema amplifiers, *NE multichannel amplifiers, and *nXe and nXp amplifiers. The RD-8C is a desktop unit using an XLR data connector. A master gain fader controls all eight channels, and a switch with LED enables each fader. Use Ashly Protea ne software to configure faders for DSP control. There are eight channel faders and one master fader on the RD-8C, each with a level control and an on/off button with a green LED to indicate status. Each RD-8C slide fader can be assigned in software using the remote level control tool for one or several inputs or outputs. Only one RD-8C can be used per ne24.24M, and no other serial communications devices,
including the WR-5, can be used when an RD-8C is connected
    to the data port.
