The Rupert Neve Designs 5034/RNDI-M bundle features the 5034 Newton Channel Strip and the RNDI-M Active Transformer Direct Interface.

The Newton Channel is a powerful modern channel strip born from a legendary sonic lineage. Its intuitive design provides classic sound on demand, with all the instantly-recognizable character, musical tone-shaping abilities, and proven reliability that define a Rupert Neve Designs product. The Newton is equally well-suited for a project studio, large-scale commercial facility or live sound rig - giving more engineers, producers, and artists a chance to join the RND family than ever before. The Newton's microphone preamplifier contains all the tone and musicality expected from a Rupert Neve Designs piece. This preamp makes it incredibly easy to quickly dial in a tight, clean and detailed sound; and with a robust 72dB of gain including 6dB of fine trim control, the Newton is ideally suited for a wide variety of sources.

The RNDI-M brings the stunning tone & clarity of its award-winning counterparts to an even more compact and pedalboard-friendly format, with the exact same custom Rupert Neve Designs transformers and discrete FET input stage as the best-selling RNDI, RNDI-S and RNDI-8. By streamlining its feature set and housing the electronics in a rugged & more compact chassis, the RNDI-M fits neatly into any space and will allow even more musicians and engineers to tap into the uncompromised sonic power & vibrancy of a Rupert Neve Designs DI.

    • Mic Gain: 12-position rotary switch that controls the microphone preamp gain in 6dB steps. For line level input signals, set the Mic Gain to the "0dB" position.
    • 48V: Push-button switch that illuminates RED when +48V Phantom Power is engaged.
    • Ø (Polarity): Push-button switch that illuminates AMBER when engaged and inverts the phase of the preamp signal.
    • TRIM: 31-detent potentiometer that allows the user to adjust the preamp gain within a range of ±6dB.
    • HPF: Push-button switch that illuminates GREEN when the high pass filter is engaged.
    • FREQ: 31-detent potentiometer that allows the user to adjust the cutoff frequency of the Sallen-Key high pass filter within a range of 20Hz to 250Hz.
    • EQ IN: Push-button switch that illuminates GREEN when the EQ section is engaged.
    • LF: 31-detent potentiometer that controls the amount of boost or cut for the low frequency shelf within a range of ±12dB.
    • 60/150: Push-button switch that selects between the two available low frequency shelf frequencies: 60Hz (OUT) and 150Hz (IN).
    • MID FREQ: 31-detent potentiometer that controls the frequency of the midband peaking EQ within a range of 220Hz to 7kHz.
    • MID: 31-detent potentiometer that controls the amount of boost or cut for the MID FREQ peaking EQ within a range of ±12dB.
    • 8K/16K: Push-button switch that selects between the two available high frequency shelf frequencies: 8kHz (OUT) and 16kHz (IN).
    • HF: 31-detent potentiometer that controls the amount of boost or cut for the high frequency shelf within a range of ±12dB.

    • Groundbreaking Direct Tone: When class-A, discrete amplifiers meet Rupert's custom transformers, amazing things happen. The RNDI-M contains the unique components and design knowledge that make it worthy of the Rupert Neve name.
    • Huge Headroom: Maximum input level is a massive +20.5dBu, making the RNDI-M capable of handling not only instruments but also keyboards, drum machines and even pre-recorded material.
    • Rugged Solid Steel Frame: The rugged steel chassis is built to withstand the severe stresses of life on the road.
    • Use on a Variety of Sources: The RNDI-M has immensely consistent performance across a wide variety of sources due to its 2.2MΩ discrete FET input stage and high headroom. The RNDI-M can be used with confidence on guitars, synths, basses, acoustic instruments, keyboards & drum machines.
    • Drive Longer Lines: The low impedance transformer coupled output - below 40Ω - is capable of driving long lines while maintaining exceptional high frequency performance.
    • ¼" THRU Output: The THRU output can be used to maintain optimal input level to an amplifier with no signal degradation.
    • Ground Lift: A Ground Lift switch is provided on the rear panel to isolate Pin 1 on the XLR balanced output from the circuit ground to help fix any potential grounding issues.
    • Phantom Powered: The RNDI-M is powered by standard 48V phantom power. Power is indicated by a blue LED on the front panel.
