Built on the proven DM7 architecture, the DM5 series is available in two models, DM5 and DM5C, and provides seamless console file compatibility across DM7 and DM5 consoles while maintaining a consistent workflow. Both models deliver the trusted Yamaha sound and stability professionals rely on across live, installation, and touring environments.
The DM5 is a professional 60-channel, dual-bay digital console designed for live sound, corporate events, broadcast, and theater production. Built on the DM7 engine, it delivers 96kHz audio, flagship processing, advanced effects, and compatibility with the DM Series editor for seamless show file sharing. The console features 26 faders (12+1+12+1), 32 analog inputs, 24 outputs, dual 13" touchscreens, and a 4" utility display.
Weighing 47lbs, the DM5 is durable, road-ready, and equipped with an adjustable tilt display offering four viewing angles to minimize glare in outdoor mixing environments. It provides intuitive control and efficient workflow for audio professionals.
With Rivage-inspired control in a portable format, the DM5 Series makes it easier than ever to scale professional systems without compromise!
Please Note: The new Yamaha DM5 and DM5 Compact use the same PY-series expansion card ecosystem as the DM7 series. Both DM5 models include a PY card slot, and Yamaha specifically lists the following PY cards as supported:
• PY64-D (64-channel Dante I/O)
• PY64-MD (64-channel MADI I/O)
• PY8-AE (8-channel AES/EBU I/O)
• PY-MIDI-GPI (MIDI/GPI interface)
• PY-DSP (Signal processing card)
• WSG-PY64 (Waves SoundGrid interface)
Also, the Yamaha DM5 series is Dante-enabled (64x64 Dante I/O at 96kHz) and is designed to work within Yamaha's Dante ecosystem, which includes the Rio series I/O racks.
