The JonyJib2 15 is a 4 section jib giving 15 feet of camera height and 9-10 feet of reach. It includes 4 mast sections, camera platform, leveling cable, pivot bracket, 100mm mounting hub and rear control and weight mounting center. It also comes with an articulating mounting bracket with 1/4" screw for your LCD monitor. This jib has 2 selectable fulcrum points. 30 lb. camera capacity (100mm bowl style tripod, dolly and counterweights not included)
The JonyJib2 is expandable from 9' (2 sections) to 18' (5 sections) in 3' increments. Each extension tube is 4' long giving a 1' overlap between sections. Since each section slides out, pulled from the previous sections, you may store unused sections in the tail as ballast weight. This lightens your counterweight demand. You can buy as few, or as many, sections as you need. Then purchase more sections when you need them. The main arm and extension sections are fabricated aluminum extrusions while the pivot point, camera platform and rear control center are steel. All are powder coated with a durable cobalt black finish.
The JonyJib2 may also be fitted with many optional accessories from motorized pan & tilt units, zoom/focus controls, LCD monitors, cable looms and power accessories. Order the optional JonyJib Wiring Loom and all jib & camera cables are contained in a braided jacket making setup and teardown much quicker than using individual wires. The pivot point is pre-drilled to mount an optional Anton Bauer Gold Mount plate kit that, with your batteries, can feed an optional passive 12 volt power distribution box at the tail. The optional distribution box can feed 12 volts power to the motorized pan & tilt head, zoom & focus controls, the monitor and the camera. The pivot point is also pre-drilled to mount the included LCD monitor mounting bracket or an 'optional' monitor platform for 5-9" CRT monitors. The adjustable camera platform self-leveling cable is also anchored at the pivot point. The camera platform is designed to over-sling or under-sling an optional motorized pan & tilt head without any changes. Just attach it 'either way' and there's 360 degree pan & tilt clearance. For a turnkey solution, add a heavy duty 100mm bowl style tripod and companion dolly and you'll be ready to shoot.
What sets the JonyJib2 apart from others is its ability to telescope and nest within itself. It does not require the unsightly and cumbersome cantilevers stabilization wires that other jibs in this range require. This crane's modularity is built on its lightweight, octagonal, aluminum extension sections which, start at the tail and progressively get smaller as you get closer to the camera. The best part is, the arm breaks down to fit into an optional 48" tripod bag. The pivot, camera platform, rear control center and miscellaneous items also fit into an optional, custom foamed, Pelican 1650 carrying case with wheels.
If you've been asking yourself why bigger cranes cost so much, ask no more. It will perform better, give you smoother shots, last longer and flex less!
