Broadcast Devices' PCC-300 is an SNMP-enabled RF switch controller designed for high-power dual-cabinet transmitter systems that use hybrid power combiners. It provides centralized control, interlock management, and status monitoring for up to 3 motorized RF switches, allowing broadcasters to safely switch between combined and single-cabinet operation during normal operation, maintenance, or fault conditions. By coordinating switch movements and interlocks on a single platform, the PCC-300 helps minimize low-power and off-air time while protecting expensive RF switching hardware.
Supporting 4 standard operating modes, the PCC-300 addresses the most common operational scenarios found in modern FM and TV transmitter facilities. Built-in "RF Safe" inputs ensure switch movement occurs only under safe conditions, reducing the risk of switch damage at high power levels.
For easy integration, the PCC-300 supports Ethernet with SNMPv2, a supplied SNMP MIB, and a free Windows graphical user interface, while also providing GPIO and dry-contact interfaces for legacy remote controls and local panels. It is compatible with RF transfer switches from all major manufacturers, making it well-suited for new installations, combiner retrofits, and OEM transmitter systems. Optional redundant power capability is available for mission-critical sites.
