The Penn Elcom R2680-2U is a 2U 19" steel rack panel back box. It is engineered to attach directly behind a standard 2U rack panel inside an audio, video, broadcast, or network rack. Its primary purpose is to enclose and protect the raw internal wiring, terminal blocks, or electronics mounted to a patch panel from dust, RF interference, mechanical damage, and prevents loose wires from getting snagged or accidentally shorting out against other equipment inside the server cabinet.
