Designed as a standard US 1-Gang wall plate, this unit installs directly into any single-gang electrical box, providing a seamless, purpose-built BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) audio interface for conference rooms, classrooms, huddle spaces, and collaborative environments. The VLDT-BT2WPUS supports Bluetooth 5.1 with multi-codec compatibility, including SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX-LL, and aptX-HD, and can maintain simultaneous connections from up to two Bluetooth devices - enabling presenters to connect and switch sources without disconnecting.
The wall plate features an integrated web server and GUI for Bluetooth pairing configuration, input control, and volume management from any browser on the network. The Bluetooth device name is fully configurable, simplifying discovery in multi-user environments where multiple VLDT-BT2WPUS units are deployed across a facility. Control is available via front-panel PAIR button, built-in web GUI, or TCP/IP API commands - providing flexible options for both AV integrators and IT teams. A USB-C service port enables Bluetooth firmware upgrades without removing the unit from the wall.
A single RJ45 connection running standard IEEE 802.3af PoE (Class 0) powers the device and carries the Dante audio network simultaneously - eliminating separate power wiring and simplifying installation to a single Cat6 cable run. The VLDT-BT2WPUS supports Dante audio at 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, and 96kHz sampling rates at 16, 24, or 32-bit depth, with configurable Dante device latency from 2ms to 10ms via Dante Controller. AES67 RTP audio transport is supported for interoperability with non-Dante networked audio systems. For installations where PoE is unavailable, a local 12V DC power supply can be connected as an alternative power source.
