The Ward-Beck MF8212+PS rackmount frame is part of Ward-Beck's 8200 Series of cards and frames. It can house up to twelve cards and two power supplies, and occupies two vertical units of rack space. Headers for each amplifier slot are accessible from the rear of the frame. Terminal interface assemblies for the appropriate amplifier card plug into these headers to allow for input and output connections. When distributing signals on BNC terminations, the MF8212 frame provides space for a terminating input and six outputs per card.
As an option, MF8212 frame can of accept an AES and a video reference input. These two inputs are on 75 Ohm BNC connectors, located on the optional M82REF rear assembly. The hinged, quick release front panel facilitates rapid access to controls and tallies located on the front edge of the amplifier cards. During installation and system setup, the panels may be easily removed to afford unobstructed access to all cards and their controls and tallies.
Power supply redundancy in the MF8212 frame is carried through the primary mains to the separate switchmode supplies. Two separately fused AC power cords are provided. The switchmode supplies operation on 115V to 230V 50 or 60Hz without any special setup and require 130 VA maximum. The MF8212+PS set comes with one M8245A power supply module included.
