The Yamaha RUio0804-D is a rackmount 8-in/4-out audio interface designed to expand system flexibility with improved sound quality over previous models like the Ri8/Ro8-D. Ideal for live sound, events, and installed applications, it provides additional inputs and outputs where needed. It can also serve as a dedicated talkback input, offering an alternative to using devices like the TF Rack.
Compact I/O, Unlimited Potential
Yamaha's guiding principle in live sound design has always been to capture transparent sound from the stage and only then to color it with successive layers of audio processing. With 8 inputs, 4 outputs, and Dante compatibility neatly housed in a 1U chassis, the RUio0804-D 1U I/O unit remains true to this key principle as it undertakes the vital role of audio input. Ever found yourself looking for just a few more input or output channels? Ever needed to send an output signal to a remote device? In this and countless other situations, the RUio0804-D has your back.
Compact, Portable I/O Solution for Any Application
With 8 XLR inputs, 4 XLR outputs, and Dante-compatibility in a compact 1U chassis, this portable I/O rack is the perfect fit for installed use at venues such as theaters, temporary setups at live performances and events, and everywhere in between - no more so than when you find yourself needing a few more channels somewhere away from the mixing console. The RUio0804-D 1U also provides for simple, flexible system design through Dante connectivity and remote control from the console.
Dante-Enabled for Flexible System Design
Audinate's Dante network protocol offers unrivalled flexibility in system setup and configuration, and gives you the freedom to assemble almost any combination of devices to suit your needs and physically locate them wherever you find most convenient. As if that weren't enough, Dante also features built-in redundancy to keep your system operating even if a problem were to occur.
Effortless Control from Yamaha Consoles and Processors
With your RUio0804-D connected via Dante to Yamaha digital mixing consoles and other audio processors, managing patching and I/O parameters is simple. When connected to a mixing console, the stagebox can be mounted as a Dante device, allowing you to remotely control HA gain and other parameters. Meanwhile, when connected to a processor, parameters can be controlled using our ProVisionaire Design application.
Special Port for Dedicated Control within Huge Setups
The RUio0804-D features a special control port that lets you configure a dedicated network address for reliable control even when part of a large system. In other words, you can set up a dependable control system without affecting the Dante network.
As a versatile and compact solution, it integrates seamlessly into medium-to-large setups that rely on RPio or Rio units as primary I/O, enhancing workflow efficiency, scalability, and overall system performance in professional audio environments.
