Broadcast quality hardware type digital video encoder for use with modern Internet type broadcasting. This system accepts a wide range of digital and analog video inputs included AES EBU digital audio on XLR connectors. All configuration and management settings are made through a web browser via a standard network management system. A full range of encoding parameters are available to configure parameters such as GOP structure and color space. Encoding is performed via a modern FPGA system that is much more reliable that conventional GPU or CPU encoding. The encoded video stream is then fed into stream server system where the program is converted to flash video format. IPTV output is provided over RTMP stream output, compatible with any flash player or client software. Flash streaming provides the most reliable service possible, and is suitable for wireless networks or for transport over the public internet. This platform is ideally suited for modern internet based CDN delivery of live video sources; or for direct injection into an IPTV system.
