Belden 1524AM is a Series 11 CATV cable with 14 AWG solid .064" bare copper-covered steel conductor, gas-injected foam polyethylene insulation, Duobond® II, aluminum braid shield (60% coverage), and PVC jacket. This Belden 1524AM RG11 coaxial cable is typically used for aerial installations of cable or satellite service since it features a galvanized steel messenger that supports the cable and helps reduce sag. It is also ideal for longer runs or to serve as support for backbone premise wiring. RG11 has an impedance of 75 ohms and is the most commonly used coaxial cable in television and home theater installations. This RG11 cable features a 14 AWG solid copper clad steel center conductor. For interference protection, the 1524AM cable is manufactured with a Belden Duobond II foil and braid shield. The foil is a laminated shielding tape consisting of a layer of polyester film between two layers of 100% aluminum foil. A 60% aluminum outer braid provides extra protection against EMI/RFI interference, which is a leading cause of distorted television picture quality. Rated for outdoor use and sweep tested 5 MHz to 1GHz.
