BLUECORE-1 - Overview

blueCORE processors provide the same quality and functionality as the Cobalt openGear processing cards - all in a self-contained standalone device!

The Cobalt blueCORE-1 hardware conversion technology ensures the highest image quality for any demanding project. The signal processor meets the needs of hybrid workflows that demand SDI, Fiber, and HDMI. It has flexible conversion and frame synchronization in a standalone, 1RU rack space.

This processor provides simultaneous processing with four independent signals up to 3G-SDI 10-bit broadcast quality video and independent groups of multi-channel embedded audio, AES audio, or MADI audio. Options enable logo insertion, ancillary data, Dante, Dolby, 3D-LUT, and other features. 12G/6G rates and 2160p resolution can be enabled by the +2K-TO-4K Option.

All Cobalt blueCORE models can be network connected, with web-based remote control. Each one is fully configurable through a 7" front panel touchscreen and four rotary knobs. The interface makes status monitoring and connecting to a network simple and easy.

Additionally, it offers looping reference input for black burst or tri-level timing.
