The Cobalt PACIFIC ULL-DEC AVC/MPEG-2 HEVC Upgradeable Software Defined Broadcast Decoder is a professional multi-standard decoder designed to meet the most stringent requirements for today's broadcasters. It supports MPEG-2 and AVC (H.264) (4K support available), as well as offering a full complement of audio decoding capabilities. The PACIFIC ULL-DEC is an industry-standard openGear card and provides an ideal platform for transitioning to state-of-the-art decoding capabilities.

- The PACIFIC ULL-DEC Decoder supports MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) and (optionally) HEVC (H.265), so it can be deployed today and upgraded as your needs change
- Support for one input stream up to 1080p60 (two independent streams with +AVC option), or (optionally) a single UHD 4Kp60 input stream
- Full audio support with decoding of MPEG-1 Layers I/II/III, AAC-LC, HE-AAC, Dolby AC-3/EAC-4/AC-4, SMPTE 302M LPCM, and Dolby-E
- Support for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC (H.264)
- Supports all popular formats: 480i, 576i, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. Supports frame rate of: 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, and 60
- Support for 4:2:0 8-bit/10-bit decoding (*MPEG-2 does not support 4:2:2 or 10-bit)
- Support for 2 stereo pairs (4 audio channels) in any combination of MPEG-1 Layer II, AAC-LC, and HE-AAC (v1/v2) modes, upgradable to 16 stereo pairs (32 channels)
- A 20-slot openGear® frame can support up to 10 PACIFIC ULL-DEC cards, for a total of 20 HD or 10 UHD 4K
- Pass-through support for Dolby AC-3/EAC-3/AC-4
- Ultra low latency of under 5ms of latency for suitable streams
- Remote control/monitoring via DashBoard™ software
