The PROTON PCI-ACC-PIO-E (also called the PIO-E) is a compact Ethernet/PoE interface designed to connect a PROTON camera to an IP network for power, configuration, and remote control. It is compatible with cameras such as the PROTON CAM, FLEX, RAIN, and 4K series. If you're deploying a PROTON PCI-4K in a venue, studio, sports facility, or broadcast installation, the PIO-E allows you to run a single Ethernet cable for Power, Camera configuration, Remote control, and Network connectivity.
This can be much cleaner than using the standard USB-based PIO interface. The PIO-E is essentially the accessory that turns the camera into a network-managed device instead of a standalone SDI-only POV camera!
