The RCF RDNET CONTROL 2 is a hardware interface for connecting RDNET RCF compatible devices to a PC via a USB connection. The RDNET CONTROL 2 unit can manage up to 2 subnets with up to 32 devices that can be connected to each subnet (2 subnets x 32 = 64 total devices). The addressing of the various devices is automatically managed by the RDNET CONTROL 2 interface. Each device is assigned a unique address in the process of powering up the network. For the operation of an RDNET network, it is necessary to install the appropriate software on the PC, which must run in a Microsoft Windows environment. From the PC it is possible to check the operation of each device connected to the network and modify its parameters, output level, mute, equalization, delay, etc. Device and network settings can be saved as a file on the PC and reloaded later. RDNET is a "real time" system: the information related to the operation of the devices is carried out in real time, which allows a global vision of the connected devices.
Network Control And Much More
RDNet is a robust network management and control platform for small, medium and large sound systems, as well as large and complex installations. RDNet, based on a proprietary and exclusive network protocol, allows intuitive control and supervision of each and every one of the devices connected to the RCF sound system. Each device has a digital signal processor to handle specific parameter modifications or presets individually or in groups of devices. Network users can change volume, delay, EQ (including linear FiR phase), and other settings, including advanced subwoofer settings. RDNet is not only designed for loudspeakers: you can also control the parameters and routing of various RCF devices.
