One of their flagship microphone cables is the L-4E6S Star-Quad Microphone Cable. It has been the standard mic cable for sound touring, broadcast studios, and on-location techs for over 40 years. It has a "double-balanced" pairing, which reduces susceptibility to electromagnetically induced noise. This improvement in noise rejection is so noticeable that even SCR dimmer noise (stage lighting consoles) is reduced to less than 1/10 the level found in other 2-conductor microphone cables.

History

Canare was founded in 1970 by Kimio Kawamoto in Nagoya, Japan. The company's name is derived from the Kanare River, which ran near the office. In 1977, the introduction of the innovative high-quality, low-noise microphone cable put Canare on the map as a significant player in the A/V industry.

In February 1983, Canare Cable, Inc. was established in Los Angeles, California, and sales began throughout the United States. Sales agents were established in Canada, the UK, France, and other countries as bases for collecting information, and sales channels were expanded worldwide.

Since then, their reputation has continued to grow. From the start of 75 Ohm BNC connectors and video patch panel sales in the late 1980s to optical/electrical converters and optical camera cable sales in 2003, as well as the list of the many well-known installations and venues Canare has had a hand in the advancement of.
