Grass Valley is a manufacturer of television production and broadcasting equipment founded as a research and development company in 1959 by Dr. Donald Hare in Grass Valley, California, hence the name! In 2022, a Canadian investment firm announced the acquisition of Grass Valley and subsequently relocated its main offices to Montreal. Their product line includes cameras, live production switchers, replay, media storage, editing, asset management, modular infrastructure, routing, conversion equipment, control, monitoring, and automated playout, all sold as hardware & software.

They also create digital audio DAs that work in conjunction to support a single AES-3id 75-ohm digital audio input, then divide it into as many as nine separate outputs, as needed, when the signal needs to be sent to multiple devices simultaneously. It also helps to maintain signal integrity and to prevent signal degradation, all critical issues when dealing with a broadcast system.
