Designed for broadcast and professional recording, the Audio-Technica BP4025 stereo condenser mic offers large-diaphragm capsules in an innovative coincident capsule configuration. This allows for a smaller housing while producing an X/Y stereo image with the spatial impact and realism of a live sound field. Ideal for use with professional audio and video equipment, the microphone is fully RoHS-compliant - free from all substances specified in the EU directive on the reduction of hazardous substances (RoHS).

The BP4025 is a fixed-charge condenser microphone with an X/Y stereo polar pattern. It is designed for professional broadcast and recording, and field use. The microphone requires 11V to 52V phantom power for operation. The microphone offers large-diaphragm capsules in an innovative coincident capsule configuration. This allows for a smaller housing while producing an X/Y stereo image with the spatial impact and realism of a live sound field. The microphone includes a 5 m (16.5') output cable terminating in a 5-pin XLRF-type and two 3-pin XLRM-type connectors. The output of the microphone is a 5-pin XLRM-type connector. The microphone is equipped with a switchable 10 dB pad and a switch that permits choice of flat response or low-frequency roll-off (via integral 80 Hz high-pass filter). The microphone is enclosed in a rugged housing. The included AT8405a stand clamp permits mounting on any microphone stand with 5/8"-27 threads. A windscreen and a soft protective pouch are also included.

    Features:
Designed for professional broadcast and recording, and field use
Large-diaphragm capsules offer pristine sound quality and exceptionally low noise

Comments about AUDIO-TECHNICA Audio Technica BP4025 X/Y Stereo Field Recording Microphone:

i can't say it's 'the best mic out there' as i don't have the luxury of comparing esoteric options.. but combined with my FET modded marantz recorder, i have been more than pleased with the finesse and feathery detail this mic is able to p/u, and a robust low end response as well.

really fantastic, wide stereo image... i wouldn't use it to record a band in a small room, too much detail (very little rejection), but for immersive ambience it's lovely.

For outdoor ambience there is no equal. Used with a good recorder, this mic displays an extremely low noise floor and picks up everything. I mean EVERYTHING. Superb atmospheric sound. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
