Matrox ConvertIP DSS is a compact, standalone ST 2110 and IPMX transmitter/receiver device. Featuring 12G-SDI, genlock, one RJ45, and two SFP28 ports on a single device, ConvertIP DSS is designed for compressed or uncompressed workflows up to 25G and is optimal for an ultra-low latency experience. The device can receive power over Ethernet through its RJ45 connection, or it can be powered through an optional power supply unit. Both can be used simultaneously to deliver power redundancy.
SDI to IP
With support for 12G-SDI input and output, ConvertIP DSS can seamlessly convert traditional SDI signals to and from IP. This removes the need to abandon existing SDI investments while providing the flexibility and scalability of IP transport.
Multi-network support
ConvertIP DSS is designed with advanced networking capabilities to meet the demands of modern IP-based infrastructures. The device is equipped with two SFP28 ports with both 10G and 25G network support for media and control. It also has a 1G RJ45 port for an independent control network path, making it ideal for large AV installations where reliability and network segmentation are critical.
Unmatched flexibility
ConvertIP DSS can be configured as either a transmitter or receiver, providing flexibility and making it ideal for dynamic environments and inventory management. This all-in-one functionality simplifies deployment and reduces the need for additional hardware. Plus, its fanless, quiet, and compact design means you can install it anywhere - whether in a server room or behind a monitor.
Compressed and uncompressed IP transport
Designed to adapt to various workflows, ConvertIP DSS supports multiple transport options for maximum flexibility:
• Supports uncompressed HD and UHD streams over IP using SMPTE ST 2110-20
• Includes the Pro AV codec for visually lossless compression up to 6 Gbps
• Optional JPEG-XS license for SMPTE ST 2110-22 support
• Transmit and receive audio using SMPTE ST 2110-30 and AES67
• Manage ancillary data such as closed captions, timecode, and other metadata with SMPTE ST 2110-40 support
• Achieves glass-to-glass latencies as low as 1 millisecond in both compressed and uncompressed workflows
