The PLAT-10062C Crimp Tool is an all new design. Low profile and lighter weight makes it easier to work with in tight places. Connectors now latch into the crimp station to prevent connector movement during the crimp cycle and a push button locks the cushioned handles closed for storage. The patented, revolutionary design uses quick snap-out, snap-in interchangeable dies to use the same crimp frame for different connector types. The unique design of the crimp frame and die allows to be inserted by left or right handed users. The PLAT-100072C (blue) die included in the PLAT-100062C Crimp Tool crimps and trims conductors on all the original EZ-RJ45 Cat5/5E and Cat 6 unshielded or shielded connectors.
The PLAT-100071C Interchangeable Crimp Die (black). Is included for use with the latest ezEX-RJ45 connectors from Platinum Tools. Two new RJ45 unshielded or shielded connectors are available in this series. Model ezEX44 accepts cable OD up to .29" and conductor OD in range of .039" - .044". Model ezEX48 accepts cable OD to .29" and large conductor OD range of .044" - .048" that will accommodate cables such as larger Cat 6A, industrial Cat 5 and some Cat 7 cables. Both connectors feature pass thru of conductors for verification of conductor sequence prior to crimping. Conductors are crimped and trimmed in a single cycle and terminate in a hi-low staggered arrangement that separates them and enhances performance. This one complete and comprehensive kit is all you need.
The PLAT-EXO-PROMO kit provides all the tooling needed to terminate a huge range of shielded or unshielded cables using Platinum Tools connectors. Pass thru connectors in the EZ-RJ45 and ezEX-RJ45 families enable termination of Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A and some large cable designs such as industrial Cat 5 and Cat 7.
