Genelec has been dedicated to designing and manufacturing active studio monitoring loudspeakers since its founding in 1978.

Genelec has been the industry first to develop many of the key technologies in use today: the Directivity Control Waveguideª, the full implementation of the active loudspeaker with built-in power amplifiers, driver protection circuitry and the integration of full room response tailoring as well as the Laminar Spiral Enclosureª and Minimum Diffraction Enclosureª technologies and many more.

The wide range of active analog and digital monitoring systems cover all professional applications from traditional stereo to modern digital surround sound reproduction with latest digital audio formats. All Genelec monitors, regardless of size, share the same neutral sound characteristics.
