The BG-DA-1X2AS is a 4K HDMI 2.0 splitter. This device takes one 4K@60Hz input signal and splits it into two lossless copies for sharing a single device with two displays. Supporting resolutions up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 and HDCP 2.2, this unit is equipped wth a with a selectable 4K to 1080P downscaler for each output, providing support for legacy displays.
Featuring programmable EDID settings, the feature-packed BG-DA-1X2AS provides stable connectivity with any HDMI device. Audio extraction is provided via optical and 3.5mm stereo outputs enabling this unit to send signal to external audio systems. Multiple audio formats are supported, including Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, LPCM, and others.
Connectivity & Features
The BG-DA-1X2AS supports a maximum input and output resolution of 4K@60Hz (4:4:4). The splitter is also HDCP 2.2 and HDCP 1.4 compliant. Without that compliance, 4K video connections would not work correctly. One of the most useful features on this device is its ability to downscale from 4K to 1080P when necessary. Operators may select to downscale when using this splitter with a display that does not support 4K. This increases this device's compatibility with a variety of different Monitors and TVs.
It's possible to run in to a variety of compatibility issues with HDMI splitters that aren't related to the output resolution of the display. The BG-DA-1X2AS is equipped with an EDID dip switch that allows operators to choose between COPY and AUTO modes. This can help maintain a more stable and seamless HDMI connection. This also gives operators more control over different display situations where more nuanced compatibility is necessary.
Digital and analog audio can be extracted from the HDMI source with this device. This can be done using the optical and 3.5mm ports. This makes it possible to use the extracted audio with external audio systems for more flexible setups.
