Small Form-factor Pluggables (SFPs) are are small transceivers that plug into SFP port switches and connects to optical fiber cables. While mechanically identical, SFPs are designed with different properties for data rates, power and fiber cable type. Clear-Com transceivers are extensively tested and fully supported. Clear-Com cannot support or guarantee trouble-free operation using third party SFP transceivers.
