Laird, the worldwide leader in 12G-SDI cable infrastructure, introduces the industry's first 12G right angle HD-BNC cable series utilizing Belden's 4855R mini-RG59 cable. The HDBNC4855-RA HD-BNC cable provides the advantages of simplified cable routing via right angle connectors in high density routers and lower cable stress weight by way of 12G rated 4855R cable. This series features a right angle HD-BNC plug to full-size BNC plug configuration for easy adaption to standard BNC cabling. Laird has partnered with Amphenol to produce and HD-BNC cable optimized for 4K Ultra HD Broadcast signal transport delivering a crystal clear signal and true 75 Ohm performance. The bayonet mating of the HD-BNC connector ensures your cable is on there to stay. Using the best Belden 12G-SDI coax cable available, Laird UHD HD-BNC cables meet the requirements SDI SMPTE 2082-1 and 2081-1 requirements and are fully backwards compatible with 6G, 3G and standard SDI workflows.
12G-SDI Maximum Distance
Laird Certifies this cable to work at a Max Transmission Distance of 117 Feet for 12G-SDI even though Belden may show this distance as 149 Feet. To meet the Laird max transmission standard, signal integrity must remain 100% functional without any CRC errors. Your 12G-SDI ST 2082 signals may function at or beyond the manufacturer-certified lengths without issues; however, when CRC errors are present there could be drops in audio, video, meta, and ancillary data. In most circumstances, video integrity remains intact at OEM distance.
