How this HDMI Extender Works
Utilizing a CAT6 or better cable infrastructure, it works as a point-to-point system where your HDMI source feeds a transmitter which then connects to a receiver near the display, projector, or recording device. The Ocean Matrix 01HMHM0007 employs a technology known as PoC (power over copper) which allows the receiver to be powered over the category cable. This can be especially handy where running additional power cords would be a hassle or in situations where an additional power outlet may not be available.
This HDMI Extender system supports HDMI 2.0 and HDR signals as well as EDID pass through and auto downscaling. These features help ensure that your video signal will always be displayed even when the display device may not be cable 4K compatible.
