The Decimator Design MD-HX is a miniature (3G/HD/SD)-SDI / HDMI Cross Converter with Scaling and Frame Rate Conversion. The MD-HX includes the same Down Up Cross Converter as Decimator's multi award winning MD-DUCC, allowing either the HDMI or SDI input to be scaled and/or frame rate converted to the required standard.
The unit also includes FOUR 3G/HD/SD-SDI outputs that allow it to be used as a 1 to 4 distribution amplifier. Output pair 1 can either be a copy of the SDI input (default) or the same as pair 2. The audio pairs in the SDI and HDMI outputs can be rearranged as required.
The MD-HX is a truly portable converter, that incorporates the new, easy to use, LCD and button control system. The days of having to play with annoying dip switches or having to carry around a computer to change a simple setting are gone. With the LCD Control System you have easy access to all the amazing features that until now have been inaccessible without bringing a computer.
Significantly improve real-time monitoring with the 2026 update for the MD-HX, available via the UCP V3.0.4 software in the Downloads page of the Decimator Design website (for units serials starting with CLD, CLE and CLF). This update turns the MD-HX into a complete signal utility platform - capable of converting, generating, monitoring, and diagnosing, all within a single unit.
