    OPTIX1-S3 - Overview

    RF Venue's OPTIX Series 3 (OPTIX1-S3-US) is a single channel high-performance RF over fiber optic (RFoF) conversion system designed to facilitate the remote placement of wireless audio antennas over long distances. The OPTIX Transmitter module converts RF signals arriving from an antenna into a single mode optical signal, sending that signal down a length of fiber-optic cable to the OPTIX Receiver module which converts the source signal back into RF.

    Without any signal loss over the optical cable, the OPTIX system can extend the range of antenna placement up to several miles or between floors in buildings, eliminating the need for bulky and lossy coaxial cable runs.

    Well-suited for live production as well as installed sound, OPTIX Series 3 features extensive user configurable controls to manage signal level, apply DC power for active antennas or amplifiers, and even directly monitor outputs to dial in performance. Compatible across VHF, UHF, and the 900 MHz band, OPTIX Series 3 is compatible across any brand wireless audio system.

    Product combinations
    The OPTIX Series 3 can be used with both wireless microphone and IEM systems. If using with IEMs the input power must be padded. Maximum RF input power is 0dBm/1mW. Do not exceed. Do not connect Optix modules to IEMs, IFBs, intercoms, or other transmit devices without attenuating input. Exceeding input voids warranty. The OPTIX Series 3 is available in a single or diversity (dual) channel configurations.
